Google to hand over YouTube viewer logs to Viacom “Google must hand over the log holding details of every user who has watched any video on YouTube, a US court ruled”

An interesting tip from Boing Boing- apparently the Internet Archive can be considered a library for the purposes of protecting its contributors from the Patriot Act. This has allowed the EFF to overturn a gagging order imposed by the FBI.

An interesting site has launched in the US. Called Govit, it’s a kind of social networking site for politics and legislation, allowing citizens to discuss and vote on legislation, and compare their votes with their elected representatives. (via Read/Write Web)

American Bar Association’s 2008 Legal Technology Survey Report is due out in May. I’m wishing at least the trend reports from 2007 were available for free.
