Slideshare, the presentation sharing site, is unavailable and apparently under attack by Chinese hackers. See: Slideshare blog and TechCrunch coverage. There is a question about who is behind this and why this would be happening in light of the upcoming Olympics in Beijing. An interesting site has launched in the US. Called Govit, it’s a kind of social networking site for politics and legislation, allowing citizens to discuss and vote on legislation, and compare their votes with their elected representatives. (via Read/Write Web)

Question: is there no social networking tools trend for law firms? I just searched ILTA positions for blog, wiki, podcast, Web 2.0, social media, social networking and found only ONE position mentioning these things for tech folks. What gives?
