CILIP Information & Advice Team have launched a blog. “It is an informal way to offer members the chance to keep up-to-date with LIS news and information that does not fit into our ‘Weekly Information World’ and that we think you need to know now! Apart from breaking news, we will be including comments on new resources we see, such as e-journal articles, blogs, books, events etc…” Well, better late then never …

You know, I read about that, found it, added a link on the wiki…and now find the link takes me to the login page…will definitely need to sort that!
But even searching CILIP, and their blog listings doesn’t find it!

    Where they hiding it then?

No, it still keeps asking me to log in, even when I find it via Google.
Is this a members only blog then?

Don’t think need to be a member, just register. I dug out my old registration username and pw and it works ok.

BTW – where did those “Possibly related posts: (automatically generated)” appear from, under my post in the comments? Love the fact that ‘Help for Single Parents’ is considered to be one. Is that a warning not to let your child become a librarian?

You’re right – tested it by creating a guest membership and that works.
But…why should you have to register to fet to read it?

    BTW, web address is: http://communities.cilip.org.uk/blogs/informationadvice/default.aspx

No idea bout the related posts, but maybe they’re right…my Mum did warn me against becoming a librarian…and she is one!
