    Wow, Steve, it’s a great piece. You sold me! It’s funny, because I just commented on Connie’s job posting that I’d never seen a company looking for someone “with the zeal of an evangelist.” “Evangelist” is not a word with which I have positive associations, but after reading your definition of an “online evangelist,” it makes more sense why they’d use it. Anyway, congrats!

    A good article steve. One which is as relevant to us library folks too. Using blogs and the web to create your personal brand etc is now a good way to get known and to enhance your reputation in your choosen field.

    It’s leetspeak (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet#Owned_and_Pwned), means you’ve been ‘owned’ or beaten, but I was just meaning that lo-fi, by taking the journal ‘owns’ you now :-)
